The coaches
Our head coaches aren’t just trainers, they’re the living history of the fight. With decades of experience in competition, teaching, and continuous learning, they bring more than technique, they are the backbone of the community

Junior
From world titles to your corner: Junior’s story is one of sacrifice and obsession. From the moment he first stepped into the gym at six years old, every single day became about boxing. While others rested, he trained. While others dreamed, he bled for it. That dedication built a career of 49 professional fights, with 44 victories, 24 of them knockouts.
As Youth World Champion in the lightweight division and a two-time European titleholder, he carved his name into Belgian boxing history.
Today, that same discipline, grit, and expertise are what he brings as Head Coach of our Ghent HQ. He knows what it takes, because he’s lived it, every day, for decades. Under his guidance, countless beginners have been transformed into successful competitive fighters, with several going on to claim titles of their own. Junior doesn’t just build boxers, he builds champions
Daphné
Our female warrior first stepped onto the tatami at just six years old, completing her first judo competition only a few years later. But soon, her passion shifted to Muay Thai and not long after, she entered competition. With 15 fights under her belt, 11 victories, and two by knockout, she proved her grit where it matters most.
Today, she brings that same fight to Woest sharing years of (kick)boxing experience, deep knowledge of kickboxing, and expertise in nutrition. But she’s more than a coach. She’s the backbone of our back office and the entrepreneurial drive of the club. Always upgrading, always innovating from fresh ideas to new activities and unforgettable events. At Woest, she doesn’t just fight. She builds.
